Jasmine Mallory is an author, writer, photographer, poet, entrepreneur, herbalist and raw vegan. In 2017, she set out on a journey for “knowledge of self,” to learn more about her history from a spiritual, holistic, and educational sense. During this time, Jasmine was inspired to use the photography style of “ReCreate” as a way to creatively share Black History year round. Initially, she posed as the model for each historical figure. Realizing that the project was must greater then her, she invited community members to portray Black Historical Figures as she grabbed the camera, and captures their photos behind the scene. What started off as a blog has now become a high traffic website with visitors tapping in from around the globe. The Recreate Project also has an annual Black History Calendar which is available for purchase under the Products tab.
